I was hit at work a while back.

Get a letter today were the guy/insurance deny being involved at all...

So how much trouble is this guy gonna get into?

Have loads of photos, dash cam footage....PLUS the 6 police cars, 2 fire engines 2 ambulances and a helicopter (air medical transport) as proof...

I just wanna know what will happen to this utter waste of life? cheers.

That's up to your company. You should consult their HR department. That said, dishonesty is usually treated much more severely than the actual accident. Accidents happen, but if he's lied about this, then what else has he lied about.

Don't forget though that we have a presumption of innocence, so until he's convicted or admits it, there's little that can be done.

Especially don't forget that HR is there to protect the company, not you.

It was a normal traffic accident, not on work site or anything but I was using a work van. Just can't understand how someone can lie after they had to be cut from their vehicle after smashing into me and then try and get away with it when there is mountains of evidence and proof against him.... just a numpty?

Hopefully he'll get the book thrown at him.
Would be funny in court when he pleads innocence and you pull out the dash cam footage :D

That seems fairly extreme for him to be saying he wasnt involved :/
Did the police or anyone spaek to him at the time?

You ok tho?

He was KO'd cut from his car and the police handled everything as far as gathering information of everyone involved... I'm sure they had a word with him after?

I was extremely lucky, and okay now.

Good to hear yer ok :)

That's mental, low speed collisions and car park prangs I can understand how people think they might able to get away with it.

But what you've explained, I'm clueless lol

Surely if he was cut from the car then he went to hospital?
They'll have a record.

As for the insurance saying they're not involved. Surely the vehicle had to be insured by someone?

I'm sitting here scratching my head at it all, his car is in 2 halves... it will be stored somewhere the police know of surely? if he hasn't told his insurance that means he either didn't have any or is just praying he won't get caught?

I would hope at the very least a few months in prison for (attempted) fraud?

There should (IMO) be far more serious punishment for the jokers that lie about accidents!

Does sound like the owner of the car and the person involved in the crash are two different people.

Gonna be really funny when it goes to court and they look at the dash cam video.

Only thing I can think of is cloned plates and the real guy was nowhere near you at the time of the accident with the cloned car, hence denying all?

Wow I'm shocked he even has the balls to lie to his own insurance about this :eek:he has not got a leg to stand on if u have all that proof.
I don't get how these people get away with lying to there own insurance company's it's 100% fraud why would they not face jail time
It seems nobody owns up to a crash being there fault now even if it's blatantly obvious.
A few years back when a girl driving her friends car crashed into the back of me while sat at the lights she gave me her details then off we went. She then gets her mobile switched off by the network so there's no contact numbet, gets the car repaired and says it must have been crash repaired by a former owner and then her friend who actually owned the car said nothing ever happened as she was in work all day so can't be her car:mad:
The fact I went with ambulance chasers is what saved this from dragging on for ages and then to the courts etc. I went with a proper no win no fee who were excellent in getting all the details to the point they caved in and admitted liability
Good Luck with it op
