New to WC - advice on Rads

To me, that's a lot of money you're going to be spending to water cool it.

You go easily get away with a single D5 pump, the AX rads are also fairly over priced for what they are. Mainly paying for the design of the removable core etc.

what case you got?

Thanks Bryan

I've got a Fractal R2 XL. I went with the kit so i didn't miss any parts, do you have any recommendations?

Cheers
O

I've bought nothing yet, thought I'd better get advice from more experienced people first, just in case i was making a major faux pas.

Personally (and this is just personally) I'd want a little more radiator space for the kit you're putting into it.

I have 2x 480mm & 1x 240mm for dual titans and a 4930K (+motherboard & RAM but that's mostly ascetics).

Basically you need (You can just get a bridge instead of the HDC connections)

I have been looking at Alphacool XT45 rads (overclockers don't stock them, in fact they don't seem to be stocking anything I need for my watercooling build so I'm having to buy else where).

The Alphacool XT45 rads aim at slow to medium fan speeds. The usual rule is 1 x 120mm rad space per component in the loop for stock speeds. Your best bet is to google a TDP calculator and work out the thermal wattage of your components with the overclock you are trying to get. I'm not sure how how the 980TI runs.

This looks pretty decent, I can to 2 * 280 radiators - are there any you could recommend as this would give me a bit more surface area?

O

Thanks again! I've went with similar to what you suggested but just cut down - going to do the CPU for now to keep things less complicated for my inexperience. 1 * 240 for now and I can work out how to get as big a rad as possible when i do the GPUs :D
