Ipad Air 3 Expected Release and upgrades?

Anybody have any information on this looking to buy one upon release as I was going to buy the air 2 but didn't see the point at this time of year as the new one will be out in like a few months time..?

anybody have any articles or links to CONFIRMED information about this ipad?
 
Its all rumours and speculation until Apple confirm it themselves.

New one will probably be announced in September/October with latest iPhone.
 
hey uber by any chance did you used to play condition zero/counter strike back in the day? think i know your name lols may just be a coincidence
 
This thread has got me thinking, I may upgrade to iPad Air 3, from my iPad 3rd Gen (retina).

I've become too attached to touch ID on my iPhone 6 and don't trust my data on my iPad anymore with just a simple 4 digit passcode.
 
You can go into your settings and select the advanced passcode and use and 8 digit code instead. You may even be able to use a text based password now, can't remember exactly.

I thought you could use PIN even if you have Touch ID enabled?

Oh, can you not disable the PIN at all? And rely solely on Touch ID, or is that not allowed in case of a Touch ID malfunction?
 
You still need a passcode, but if you're using touch ID you can just set a complex passcode rather than a 4 digit pin as you rarely need to use it.
 
Ok thanks I'll do that then, can't even remember setting passcode on my iPhone 6! Oops! must have used it at some point though.

Besides my iPad needs an upgrade, its either that or flog it and buy a smaller macbook, my 17" model is way too big to be carting around to uni with me on a regular basis.
 
yeah haha im thinking of an ipad air 3 when there released, as i was gonna get an air 2 but its pointless now may aswell get the new tech as they release at generally the same price and once you have one they last years for what you need them for! :)
 
no idea tbh i was thinking of getting the 128gb air 2 so ill probably just stick to that size on the air 3 hopefully and it should last me a good few years of average browsing and silly little ios games and as a travelling/movie buddy! :)

Do it. The third gen was awful and seriously underpowered graphically, the fourth gen which came seven months later was what it should have been to start with. Left a nasty taste in my mouth did that one and I upgraded to the Air on day one.
