EK Naked Ivy i5 3570k temp 16c between core ?

So my temp has dropped from 98c to 73c but some cores are 16c hotter !

Do i need to remount? as its stupid hard due to my micro atx loop

Was it working ok before or is this new? What RAD size do you have? What fans?
What are the temps like for the GPU?

I had the same problem with a friends 4790k naked mount , re pasted a few times and still the same issues. Put the lid back on with some Clu and problem solved. Naked die cooling especially without a shim is just a pain and not worth it imho.

Rad is a 240 ek ex + vadar
Gpu 980ti gets to 1480 on boost playing pCars gets to about 41c
about 2 hours of pCars cpu is 50 56 59 58

edit: yer was working before with on just air but temps were 92 93 99 98 and 85 on gpu.

I see, yes its a pain I did get the ivy cpu standoffs from ek. If it was only like 6-8c on ITB i feel ok but 16c seems a bit much ??, but 10c between hottest and coldest on prime95 and my games do you think that's livable,

I really should have made a drain port.

Well it was a faff but i remounted it.
57 65 73 70 --> 55 63 65 64 so thats down even more 2c 2c 9c 6c
So worth doing.
