Not entirely sure if this is normal, but I've noticed on the few games I play there's some weird colours, mainly blue but some oranges and reds too. I'm not sure how is best to link, so I'll just leave the links.

I'm using an Acer B276HK with a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980Ti, this also happened on my Palit Super Jetstream GTX 980.

Any ideas what's causing it? I've tried two DP cables as well as trying all slots on my GPUs and monitor.

That just looks like chromatic aberration, an effect developers use in games to add visual defects that break up the clinical "perfect" look that makes 3D rendered content look too "shiny".

I had never heard of this (nor noticed it) until I moved to 4K, so I assumed it was a panel issue.. I went from 2x LG 25UM65-P to the Acer B276HK.

It ruins the experience a bit, since it's noticeably visible in a lot of games.

Well think about it, if you're catching it in screen shots, it isn't going to be your panel or cables. It being in screen shots means that the graphics card is actually outputting it like that.

It's not a bad thing as such, my problem with is is that it's a visual defect you find in video footage due to the lenses used, whereas games aren't supposed to be "through a lens".

What I meant to say: I thought it was a panel issue before capturing it on screenshots - bad tense, sorry.

I guess I'll just have to suck it up for the time being :p

Thanks!

there is a mod to turn it off in gta v (from a quick google) and you cna turn it off in the witcher 3. So, I guess through mods/options/ini tweaks you can probably remove it from most games.

The problem with GTA is the fact there's a ban on *any* sort of mods when playing Online, which is all I do play unfortunately.

Looks like you've enabled 3D Vision by mistake to me!

(FWIW, on an Acer XB280HK 4K monitor / GeForce 980 I don't get those effects and nor do I on an Acer CB280HK / GeForce 670 - both running at 4K)

I've made sure not to install this every time I've installed drivers - I have nothing in my control panel, nor an obvious option to disable such a setting in NVidia Control Panel? Am I missing something blatantly obvious?
