** INCREDIBLE GALAX HOF 8 PACK APPROVED PROMOTION!! **

Silicon lottery, as Gibbo has banged on about it many times. Just because you get 1600 doesn't mean another user will too. For example my EVGA does 1600/2050 on air and isn't an 8 Pack stamped GPU :p

What you should do though is get a number of the cards and see what a batch of them do rather than just one, if say 10 cards all do the same then yes, even I'd be interested :D

But 8 Pack is absolutely correct, having the best PWM, best power limit all helps with those extra few MHz.

But of course silicon lottery has the biggest impact for people running on air within NVIDIA permitted voltage parameters.

For Water/LN2 users is where higher quality PWM and power limits can really be useful.

1600 on air is pretty impressive, sure there's the silicon lottery gamble on any gpu. But tbh i haven't seen many other 980ti's near that speed. 1500mhz or thereabouts is pretty much the norm.

and what is the power limit?

I'm pretty sure our MSI cards would do near 1600 with an unlocked bios - I hit the 300W limit on stock voltage
as these HOF's are basically the same price I would be interested in getting one if it's confirmed the power limit is much higher without me having to flash it

Show us!! Lets see 1600 air 2050mems no modded bios Heaven??

I only have one card here currently I am using for development of Bios etc... So I cant test a bunch.

The mems on this card are more crazy than the core how many heaven runs you see at 2181 mems??

So you want everything Nvidia don't officially support and if the card stops working you want warranty???

125% or so is highest officially allowed no card can ship with higher than this.

What is it in real wattage though?
The msi only does 109% but its base is 275w, so 109% is 300W

And yeah, I already have an msi gaming and it hits the tdp at 1187mv and 1535/7800
For me to buy a HOF as well there needs to be a tangible benefit like a higher tdp, otherwise I can just take a risk on modding my existing card

I realise that maxxing out either card is going to mean bios mods but at least if the hof starts from a higher base it provides some benefit out of the box

I am interested in buying a Hof but I'm asking myself if takng a hit on the msi is worth it for me, a higher tdp would tip that scale for me

I think the max without mods is around 360w.

The only way to truly have unlocked power limit is hard mods not these bios you see on the web especially with later Nvidia drivers.

yeh thats nice but the x99 white ones match it better maybe
just love to see a motherboard with full white pcb, not covers

This is a far superior product to gaming.

Its elite tier like Matrix, Lightning and King Pin Edition Level.
Yep, which makes it even better for the price. The G1 has been touted as the top overclocking card for a while now. But gigabyte have always been a bit conservative compared to the likes of the lightning, kingpin, classified etc.
