Probably due to water damage from being in a wet pocket during a walk. Phone just wont turn on at all, tried leaving it in a bowl of rice for 2 days, charging with port and wireless charger, all kinds of button combinations (low volume and power held down for 10 secs etc) but zero response.

Last time I backed up was 3 or 4 months ago, so I'm missing a lot of photos and videos, though I have all my contacts in onlive. Is there any company out there who do phone data recovery? EE have said they could fix but it will be blanked.

My next phone will have a microsd card!

I've not tried any recovery services myself but have you tried fixing the phone? The 930 looks easy to take apart and all it may need is for you to clean the contacts.

Cheers for the suggestion. Got as far as removing the back cover to clean what I could, taking the battery out etc is a bit out of my comfort zone.

Going to try a phone repair store tomorrow to see if they can rescue it, otherwise will have to bite the bullet and go through ee's repair service.

I know its a bit late now, but there is a setting in the backup menu that will automatically upload your pictures & videos to onedrive whenever you get a WiFi signal.

Sorry to hear about your phone

I discovered that while googling the onlive stuff. Wish I'd spent a bit more time getting to know the various functions! Will be on for next time, but losing about half my son's first few months in pictures does sting somewhat :(

I thought I'd backed up to an old laptop around a month ago, but the folder's missing an awful lot, may have been interrupted.

Did you not set up a Onedrive account that automatically backs them up?
