Dyson DC41 Mk2 vs high pile carpet

Hey guys I need some advice on this vacuum. I have a high pile carpet and my cheap crappy one doesn't pick anything up as all the hair from my long haired cat is tangled into the carpet.

Two questions..

My cat pulls the threads out with ease so would this hoover be too powerful and run the risk of pulling the threads out?

And if not would this hoover be sufficient enough?

Thanks in advance

I'd get one that's aimed at animals, I always find they pick up animal hair much better.

I've gone off Dyson after we bought a DC50 and found it useless. We ended up with one by Shark (think it's an NV40) and it's fantastic.

I have a DC40 animal which does very well on pretty hair. It also has a tangle tool attachment which is fantastic at sucking up longer hair without getting snarled up.

My cat pulls threads on the cheap and nasty contractor carpet we currently have on the landing. The Dyson hasn't caused any further damage but I tend to snip the threads off anyway.

I will probably get it. My landlord laid down new carpets and all the threads are separate so if it's pulled up its not noticeable but obviously I wouldn't like the hoover pulling up all the threads haha.
