Does anyone on here ride horses?

Not personally (it'd be like Henry VIII), but the other half is a dressage rider and worked in equine sciences.

I have decided to give it a go, but was wondering where to buy things like horse pyjamas (jodphurs or whatever they're called) from for cheap, rather than £75 a pop like I saw at the Great Yorkshire Show on Tuesday.

Friend of mine works in a horse yard near Chessington, does that count as me riding horses? Can ask her questions if you have any.

Only when I am hunting foxes with my blood thirsty rabid hounds and a bunch of my toff etonian buddies................... it's mint.......

Me? Ride a horse?

Neigh.

Ride now and then.. I really wouldn't worry a jodhpurs especially if your new to it.. a pair of old jeans will be fine.. only thing I might consider being new is a pair of ridding boots but again if you have a stout pair of boots then these are fine to start with.. assuming you are ridding at a school then they will have all the safety equipment.

Best piece of advice for first time males, wear tight underwear to tuck your love spuds up as far front as possible and out of the way. Landing on them in rising trot, or hitting them against the saddle head if the horse trips, is most uncomfortable.
