Does anyone on here ride horses?

Yes along with my father and brother, from as far back as i can remember. I used to compete in gymkhana (not the ken block type unfortunately! :p ) My brother was European champion and has ridden for wales and GB teams. Personally not ridden since I smashed my knee up over 2 years ago.

Just get yourself a good hat to start with don't bother with the rest until you're keen on dong it. Cheap stuff is cheap and anything worthwhile is a good outlay sadly. It's cetainly an acquired look too. That said I just wear boots, hat and jeans. Jeans aren't wise for some as the seams rub the inside of your leg but I'm an idiot and don't care. It's cheaper!
 
Used to ride every weekend, had some lessons then started going out hacking. Can't beat galloping and having a fast canter round windy country lanes! Was good fun but stopped doing it (can't really remember why). The other half however now owns a horse and spends most her week up the yard!
 
Yeah, at least once a week if possible as I've liked them for as long as I can remember - no good at it mind you! :D

Loved Knights/horses/castles/medieval nutty-ness as a kid, and still do.
 
My cousin rides, and has done from an early age. I was always put under pressure as a child to join her so to keep the family happy I agreed to go along and see what all the fuss was about. We got to the stables just as a paramedic car and ambulance had turned up and the paramedics were tending to a young girl who'd taken a fall off a horse and broken her thigh in two places.

And that was the end of my foray into the horse world.
