Initial thoughts, surprised how similar size the Dell is. Very cool colour temp compared to the DGM.

Im going to do some game testing.

To be fair a single 980 Ti provides a great experience at 3440x1440.

Newer games require turning a couple of settings down sure, but most games will run 60 no problem with basic/no AA.

Besides, after using 21:9 for a couple of months, I'll never go back to 16:9!

How is the dell ? Still can't shake of SW

Its a superb monitor, cant fault it really for what it is. And luckily no backlight bleed or stuck pixels ...but ... i am a little underwhelmed after seeing it next to my old monitor. For someone coming from a 22" or below it would be an awesome upgrade.

Regarding the U3415W
Ive seen the hit in framerate on witcher 3 and thats just going from 1200p to 1440p so for the 34" it will be a big hit.
My MSI 980ti has just arrived so will try that tonight, but im expected a futher drop in FPS over my SLI 970's.
One thing though Ive run the monitor on lower that the native resolution and im very impressed how little quality loss there is. If the 34" is as good then it might be ok.

I saw a 34" in the flesh last night but it was the Samsung one. The height appreared smaller compared to the 27" which i wasnt sure about.

The height of the 27" dell is a couple of mm taller than the 34 as I checked to make sure it would fit on my desk. So I think it's an illusion..

I think because it's super wide it appears thinner ? :p

I thought that might be the case that why i said 'appeared'.

Im not sure what to do now. I kinda wish I had stayed with my cheap B-grade 8 year old DGM. :p

Not sure what return options you have these days with the new Distance selling regs.

You get a U3415W first and tell me what it's like ;)

Witcher 3 runs fine at 3440x1440 on 1 980ti but you do need to switch off game works and reduce AA, that said I can't see any differences with those things turned off.
