What used to be a UK
..depicting some teenage girls beating a pensioner up and leaving her screaming on the floor. I had to misfortune to see this video and must confess I never want to see another video like it again. I can understand the rage and anger people must feel on watching this but I clearly don't fully appreciate or even understand the mentality of the person posting it. Particularly when you see that the incident is being spread by the West Midland Infidel (s) group. For my knowledge the video had nothing to do with people of different ethnicity also as the perpetrators were white.?

I guess these days the person featured often gets caught quite quickly

there was another with some girl bullying two other girls, robbing one of them and making her get on her knees to apologise etc....

bully was identified and named fairly quickly... then of course phone number published and a bunch of death threats sent... and now charged with robbery

death threats from chav vigilantes aside social media does seem to be an efficient way of getting someone brought to account

I haven't read too much into it but from the comments it looks like this actually happened over a year ago and was in Germany. The girls were caught.

The latest one currently pending is that girl emptying those other girls handbags into the road and getting them to beg on their knees etc to stop.

and now she is remanded in a council facility under protection awaiting trial.

people spray painted her house etc. while i don't approve of vigilantes, when you watch the video and then see what these other people are doing i just think for a second you deserve what you get.

Does make you wonder. When was the last time a bully was arrested and awaiting trial within days?

Seems to be the way forward. While I don't advocate the spray painting (only because it's her parents house) and Internet mob mentality is a dangerous thing, can't say I feel sorry for her.

No problem with thugs being identified, prosecuted and put in fear of violent retribution, two wrongs when weighed up often actually do make a right.

It's rarely that simple, the problem with after the fact videos is you only see the event from a particular point - we have no idea what happened before or after to make a fair judgement.

It's very easy to clip a video, remove a few seconds here & there to make it seem significantly more one sided than it is - the reality may be that both are in the wrong with some events.

The attitudes of the mob after are just as stupid as the people involved (death threats, vandalism etc).

(This is regarding videos of scuffles, bullying, violence between teens)

the death threats and vandalism are wrong

however the video is pretty clear, it doesn't matter what else there was to it the girl was a bully and did clearly rob and assault the other two girls - which is why she has been charged and, AFAIK, has confessed

Thanks for simplifying it for us.

Suppose you're right. In both videos mentioned in this thread perhaps the pensioner did do something to warrant the attack from teenage girls.

Also the 13 years old probably deserved having their belongings stolen, being assaulted and ordered to take items of clothing off under threat of further attack. All whilst being filmed for further humiliation.

yeah, by the looks of the reports she didn't have a leg to stand on. judge warned her she could go to jail. probably just to scare her.

Congratulations on both proving my point about stupid people & failing to even read my post.

If you possessed a functional brain you would have been able to understand that it was regarding general videos of scuffles, bullying & violence between teens. Not at a single point did I mention anything about the video in the OP specifically, please learn to tell the differences between speaking in general & specifically.

While the guilty party is clearly proven to have been involved in many videos we see, it's also plausible that certain aggravating factors or earlier violence are highly likely to be omitted by one party if it benefits them.

No, thank you for coming onto a thread and posting something completely irrelevant to the OPs point and subsequent replies.

Both videos discussed involve teens violence and bullying.

Neither video is open to misinterpretation. The perpetrators are scumbags.

Unless you disagree?

Or just like coming onto specific threads and spouting generalisations?

I'm highlighting a potential issue with this kind of method of justice. I apologise if you are unable to consider alternative scenarios & think outside of this specific situation that's in a thread but that's your problem, not mine.

Nobody else seems to have trouble understanding the nature of how debates expand into wider issues.

Regarding your other point, I stated that in some cases (notice the use of a plural, not singular) both parties may be in the wrong. If you think this is saying that in the case of the old person being attacked they are likely to be responsible, or if you believe this implies that the girls behaviour is perfectly acceptable to me then you are mentally deficient.

Anyone with half a brain knows this and doesn't need it pointed out. (The potential problems with videos being edited to be deliberately being one sided)

Anyone who has seen the videos and has half a brain would realise it doesn't apply to either of the videos in question.

But thank you for you concerns good citizen. Your points are noted. No matter how irrelevant they are to this discussion.

Just incase you weren't aware the video regarding the girl bullying assaulting and robbing the two 13 year olds was uploaded by a friend of the perpetrator.
