Even I've done it a couple of years ago at an ACDC tribute evening -

The nazi loving Queen should abdicate ASAP, or maybe she should chop someone's head off at the Sun or something.

Hitler was greatly admired by many in the British aristocracy, and Prince Edward was a well known Nazi sympathiser if I remember correctly. That's all common knowledge, so this video is neither surprising nor shocking.

In any case, Elizabeth was only 7 years old! :rolleyes:
 
This would have been a story if it was filmed last week, or at any point after the war.

In 1933 Hitler hadn't ordered any of the horrific things which would happen in Germany in his pursuit of the Reich. As others have said, Hitlers right wing views sat quite nicely with a lot of the British upper and landowning classes in the early '30s. He was, after all, anti Union, at a time when the unions were becoming more organised, militant and powerful among the working classes.

It wasn't until the war started that Hitlers real agenda alienated him from the British upper classes.

In 1933 the Nazi's were a semi respectable political movement.
The Queen was all of about 7 and thus unlikely to have understood politics much if at all.
 
So it's true the royals were nazi sympathisers at the time. Shows them up as the true Germans they are!

Time for a republic already!
