Super Southern Meet X (or 10)

Just got back, good day, thank you to all who I spoke to and for the passenger rides in the A45/RS6, and most importantly thanks to SoliD for organizing.

Just got home cheers for organising solid was a good laugh and the drive back to the holiday inn was great even though we lucked into it as vox got lost again.

Well that's more fool all of you guys for following me once again after I had already gotten lost on the way to the pub :p Have to say though, some of those roads I stumbled upon definitely meant to drive down were absolutely epic!

Look forward to seeing copious amounts of photos of Poppy.

Yet another good meet up but the roads home were crammed with dawdlers who rigidly stuck to 40mph regardless of the actual speed limit of the road whether it was a 30 or NSL!

PS - Where are the Poppy Pics???

Was good meeting up with all you strange internet people :P

Big thanks for SoliD for arranging it all, and for Vox maybe of sort getting lost a few times as our guide.

PS - We demand Poppy pics, and yes EJ did turn up in his X6 crossed with an F-type was quiet a sight I must say.

Did EJ really turn up? Did I miss this?!

Good to meet you guys again, cheers Solid!

Voxination, you didn't get lost on the drive to the Bowman, only on the route back to the Inn :p According to the dashcam, the route we took (in red) is exactly the same as SoliD's route (blue):

The route back to the Inn was epic though.

Also cheers to Clown for offering me a go in the Tree Fiddy. Been wanting to have a go in one for ages.

Still lolling at Poppy's wee little legs:

Thanks all for turning up! obviously without you guys there would be no meets. I think after 10 I will be looking at moving it slightly to pick up some new roads, although we're a bit limited round here, but will do some digging around for next time.

Thanks for the rides in the Atom, RS6 and Megane. First two completely different beasts, but both put a big smile on my face :D

Awesome photo mate!

Wish I could've made it but sadly I don't have a car which is even remotely interesting :p

Nor did Acme :D

That is one thing that struck me today, is the amount of horsepower everyone now has. Back in the day it was x30d of all variants, today we had a good 6 400bhp+ cars, and a couple of 500+, in all sorts of engine configs!

What is the Megane RS running at? I was following behind it on one of the routes and it did sound pretty sweet on what I assume was wot

We've all upped our game... apart from me, I'm still stuck in the past! :D

I think generally people come to the meets year after year and as they've got better cars this attracts other nice cars. Plus access to high performance cars seems to have got easier for younger guys. In the early days of these meets we had at a few Rovers, MR2s, Alfas etc. :D
