Why is this forum so good ?

Seriously!? haha

Yeah, but then how would that work? One person paying to get someone banned and then no one else agreeing? or would be a vote where you say yes, i'll pay and then when the vote 'closes' so to speak you pay?

The specifics haven't been worked out, but the suggestion was that people could either club together and when the correct amount was reached it would happen, or an individual could do it possibly at a lower level than the group cost (as it's easier for us to deal with a single request than multiple ones).
There is some suggestion of bulk deals, but that may encourage it to happen too readily.

Strider, current (and former) members of the mod team would have to be exempt of course, but would obviously still be subject to the normal rules that can lead to bans.

The "bounty" system is very much still in the works, lots of details still need to be nailed down.

Serious question: will this increased revenue allow us underbosses to have a raise? Our current stipend is nice, don't get me wrong, but as I understand it has been fixed for about a decade and failed to move with inflation.

You'll receive double what you get now.

Hmm, really not sure about a paid option. Perhaps if it were a small, one off fee (£10) or a small yearly thing (less than £5 a year) then it could work but I really doubt many would pay if all you get is more sig space, a custom avatar etc.

Now, unique extra deals or discounts for VIPs would be welcome.

Not too sure I like the idea of the MM becoming a little eBay with fees. As soon as money to any third parties gets involved it becomes a bit of a legal mess!

Finally, any mandatory payment would kill casual users of this forum pretty stone dead.

I use a few forums. Never post on any of them.
But this one I've managed 600 posts so far which is amazing for me.

As far as I can tell, there are a ton of people that use these, but somehow, I've not actually seen any real negativity.
And some issues I do have, most of the time, people are very helpful from around here.

Oh god...

in b4 upvotes and rep whoring.

Please do not use rep systems and the like, all it means is groupthinkers down vote people with different opinions to themselves.

It is an absolutely TERRIBLE system.
