Attack on titan, Movie trailer!

For anyone, that's read the manga, or watched season 1 of attack on titan, I really hope they bring out season 2 before the movie, but eitherway this looks great..Inaccurate..but still great.

Especially with their budget

Shame its not english. Looks good but dont think id watch it cos of it being non english. Lame maybe but i cant even watch a good anime unless its dubbed.

Anime, dubbed for me yes..but since this is just a movie, subtitles is good enough..and trust me you are missing out, deffo a watch when its out man

I can't wait for this

I haven't finished all season 1 yet, but I'll soon be catching up with it.

I can't stand dubbed

I just feel like it takes something special away from the show.

Apparently tho this should be dubbed or be originally in English because a lot of ppl are saying there arnt many Asians in the show and they say they should have had western actors in it. Dunno how true it is as i never payed attention to the show to the characters too much but i heard someone say that in the titan universe there are very few Asians left in it. So yeah, perhaps it should have been a western made film.

Don't think I would want it to be all Hollywood though. I like that its keeping to its Asian roots.

i read somewhere that there is 2 anime movie of attack on titans that recaps the first season with some new scenes and extended scene init. as for the second season, earlier reports has it's release date either in second quater or somewhere in between second and third quater of 2016. as for the live action the director is sign on to do two films which will be released in japan in the summer of 2016. so it maybe that the second season of the anime series could be released some time after the live action are released.

It doesn't look great, without a big budget they're not going to be able to do the fantastic movement animations like they do in the show.

And you're right, there's only one asian chick in the show. As far as I'm aware they became virtually extinct when the Titans attacked. The rest of the cast look western.

Not looking forward to this. Just patiently waiting for season 2.

At one point a big deal is made over Mikasa being Asian, because they're virtually extinct, at least within the walled area we follow (fan theory puts it that the Titans first emerged in Asia and thus they were hit the hardest and the area we see in the show is somewhere in central Europe hence the mixture of ethnicities and cultures when it comes to looks and names)

That said, there was no way we'd get a western cast on film unless it was a Hollywood thing, this at least looks mostly faithful (apart from what seems to be a couple of concessions to matters of budget and practicality) I have more faith in them than in a "Can we not have that many people die, it tested poorly" Hollywood version.

While I wouldn't mind a dubbed version with the shows English cast voicing their respective characters, I watched the series subtitled first time anyway, I watch Garo subbed every week, if subbed is the only way I get to see this, so be it. Besides anime that mostly matches up voices to mouths are one thing, Live action dubs where nothing is even close are more distracting than subtitled IMO.

I think this post explains why you don't do subtitles.

It's a shame though, as others have said, you really are missing out.

I don't think it matters with this show. The voice cast is phenomenal, I'm pretty sure they've won awards for it.

But you're right about missing out on other shows/movies.
