A few deals at GMG today.

Bioshock Infinite Season Pass for £3.20. I never usually play DLCs but I notice there are a tonne with this. Is it worth it?

NM it's for mac.

Definitely worth it! Well, Clash in the Clouds is a bit meh but worth it for burial at sea episodes 1 & 2. If you enjoyed the main game you'll enjoy this.

Shouldn't matter that it says Mac, looks like its a steam key so will be fine, not sure why they have different versions listed...

Confirmed activated and working. Big difference in price too

Im looking to pick up some of the Wolfenstein games on GMG while they're on offer still. But on my phone (GMG blocked at work) it thinks im in the US and when I add them to my cart I get a 404. Whaaaa?!!?

I'm hovering over this as well. Never had a space rts game but always wanted one. Is this easy to get into or do you have to dump a load of time into/learn it?

Homeworld 1 player here from day of release in October 1999 to this present day.

The remastered series is good for those who ain't played HW1. They used the HW2 code for both HW1+2 in the remakes which means that basically HW1 is broke but if you haven't played the original HW1 you would never know.

Worth a purchase at this price though.

Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition for £7 on Steam Weekend Sale. Never played any of the Fallout series...worth starting here at this price?

Cheers

I just played through HW1 and goddammit was that a frustrating experience... the HW2 engine was clearly stapled on and the end result is an exercise in fiddly mayhem as you try to get the ships to do everything that they did perfectly fine in HW1, the ship selection and control is a nightmare.

It is also ridiculously easy, and I basically won the game simply by capturing destroyers, heavy cruisers and carriers way past my population limit and then just steamrolling the enemy... they didn't have a chance as with 4 or 5 heavy cruisers backed up by other capital ship support and maxed gun corvettes and defenders you're pretty much invincible. It took all of the strategy out of the game simply sending in salvage corvettes to nab enemy capital ships, and I was very disappointed with how unrealistically simply that was.

HW2 on the other hand looks fantastic, and is definitely much harder from the start.
