Fears, Do you have any?

Fear of Death, although there is not much i can do about it:(

This. Also hate the thought of having to go into hospital for an op.

Also i wouldn't say it was a fear of flying, but i'm very anxious about it. Flying to NZ in November too!

Think i need some valium lol

flying.

and its got worse over the years, I turned down one job after the interviewer started talking about their experiences flying to other offices and left another job as they wanted me to spend more time in Asia & America meaning more flying around.

I don't have any phobias but I do dislike spiders & tall buildings.

Spiders I can remove with a glass but I hate the feel of them on my hands, flying doesn't bother me at all - neither do heights on mountains/hills/cliffs but for some reason I hate tall buildings (I use my eyes to balance as opposed to my inner ears & get vertigo with tall buildings).

Strange one for me the tall buildings as I've climbed up a vertical waterfall on the side of a mountain without any issues at all, but put me half way up a skyscraper & I feel dizzy (which triggers a great height fall fear type thing).

Ending up like one of the losers you see in town centres, the scruffy ones with nothing in their lives and who are probably addicts of some kind.

Confrontation. Being broke. Public speaking (fear of embarassment). Woodlice.

Also heights, but not really heights because it doesn't bother me being in a plane or a cable car, its more of exposure at height, like I won't go up a ladder on the side of my house but I went on the Big One at Blackpool no problem.

Don't like heights as when I look down all I can imagine I falling down.

Snakes I hate them so much. I only hate the poisonous ones though.

Spiders I can't stand either, they are just such a disgusting thing to look at.

No irrational fears or phobias. I dislike things but nothing that gives me a life altering effects.

Just the usual fears that most people have, family, work, health etc...

Fears are for woman and children.

I do however have a strong respect for ground when it's far, far away and I don't needlessly pick up spiders who look like they're doing just fine without my help.

EDIT: Being the older brother of two sisters I actually have a fairly good coping mechanism with anything that I'm not overly comfortable with though. Like I can happily pick up spiders when my other half is throwing a hissy (just to keep her quiet) and knowing that wasps and bees only sting when attacked / provoked I can let them land on me without going into a fit. Doesn't mean I like it, just able to control myself :)

Emetophobia. Effects my life every day, more so in social situations but i force myself to push through it as often as possible. Getting married in 2 weeks, dreading it.

I've had the same condition since I was around 11-12, such a struggle doing things that come easier to others, it has calmed down a lot now I'm older and I'm more independent. It was always bad for me when going to clubs, getting on trains, walking through shopping centres, school plays, assessments at work and team building exercises, the list goes on and on, I know exactly how you feel, at first I thought nobody else suffered with the same condition.

Not a fan of spiders above a certain size, probably anything bigger than about a 20p coin.
I don't mind being around them, just cant bring myself to touch them!

Not too keen heights either, but that varies on the situation.
For example last time I tried to help my dad on the roof of his house I couldn't let go of the chimney, but I have happily done abseiling before!

Not the biggest fan of heights although I've done the Empire State and that was ok (more the looking up at the radio tower made me feel dizzy). Absolutely hate those glass floors you find on some high buildings, not a chance I can walk on that. NOPE!

I remember I rescued a friend once that was being taken out to sea on an inflatable ring, he was out of his depth and couldn't really swim and was panicking.
The only way I could get to him was swimming through long thick seaweed and ever since I've been fearful about going out of my depth in the sea, particularly when I can't see the bottom. I've been a very competent swimmer all my life and used to compete when I was younger. I was 10 years old at the time.

Spider in the bathroom sink :( massive :o what am I gonna do
I normally use a long handled broom and then divebomb then owt the window :D but its too big to mess with. I left the floor when I saw him

Rapid deceleration, e.g. plane crashing into a mountain.

Rapid acceleration, e.g. hill walking and being hit by a low flying plane.
