Not a fan of the BT home hub 5.
Budget?
What features are you looking for?
Not too sure, I use the RT-N66U myself, never had an issue. Not sure if the D7000 can do the modem bit so look for a HG612 on eBay.
What's on the white box? Is it cabled to the HH5? I was under the impression the HH5 can do the modem bit so it's strange if you have a modem still, but a bonus if you do as you could easily upgrade to an RT-N66U.

Well that's odd, I thought the HH5 was also a VDSL modem as well, removing the need for the white modem.
It is, they don't supply the modem separately now.
Just the HH5.
The "white box" (if it is the Huawei HG612) is one of the best modems available. It has extensive community support (G.INP is fully supported for instance).
Avoid NETGEAR routers. They're always distinctly average.
Which router would you get then?
We had the BT HH3 and white box (pictured), we acquired a HH5 but we're still using the white box too.
