the r9 390 is the better choice right now you know that guys right?

its faster at stock and overclocked against an stock and overclocked gtx 970 and has more framebuffer

the only thing that speaks for the gtx 970 is that it uses less power

Probably not much in it power wise if you overclock the 970.

Yeh, tough call between a 970 and the 390.

The MSI 390 would be the best, the 8GB VRAM will certainly help should you decide to upgrade to 4K with the choice of a second card later on if you wanted to.
