Looks like after 3 years of heavy use my sturdy nexus 4s digitizer is starting to fail.

Use of the soft buttons has all but given up completely I can unlock the phone but unable to use back menu and super keys so it looks like I need a replacement.

I'm aware of the op2 being released next Monday but being invite only who knows when I might get the option to buy. Also I'm looking at buying out right as ive had a sim only for only 9.99.

Hit me with your options don't want to spend massive amounts but would like as up to date and new as possible

I've been really happy with the size of the n4 I'd be happy to go a little bigger but not phablet size. Also I've been running root and cfw which I love playing with phones and tabs so it should be easy to boot root and flash like the nexus devices

If you can hold out for a few more months then the 2015 Nexus 5 should materialise.

Hope it does, anyway, so I can get a new shiny and pass the old Nexus 5 to my missus!

If buying now, I'd take a look at the LG G3. It can be bought for £255 brand new from major phone supplier. It's 5.5 inch screen but you'd be surprised how small it feels in hand. I've just got 3 for different friends that were upgrading from smaller phones and didn't want phablet size and they all adore them. Also check out the 'knock unlock' when the screen is off.

argos have got the z3 and z3c available for the same price (350) with an additional 10% code as well which is the better option?

best off popping into CPW and having a go on both mate to see which suits you

the z3c is smaller than the nexus 4 (screen size) so you may find it a tad too small

Both have pretty much the same spec, apart from 2 vs 3gb of ram, 720p vs 1080 (but smaller screen so not so noticeable), plastic frame on the compact compared with metal. It depends if you want the bigger screen to be honest because everything else is practically identical!

By the time the Z3+'s SD810 has throttled itself down because it got too hot, no.

Qualcomm issued another earnings report amidst a job slashing effort and made a statement that they're considering breaking up the firm, I saw today so I guess they said it yesterday.

I bet the 810 team are quietly slinking around looking embarrassed at the mo.

Can anyone confirm whats wrong with the flex 2

810 cpu 1080 screen half decent camera and cheap the 16gb can be found for 260 quid and the 32s for 290

EDIT: Damn locked bootloader so no cfw or root :(

I'm in the same boat stuie, I've had my Nexus 4 almost since release (albeit, mine still works fine) and I'm looking for a similarly sized replacement.

What I'm currently considering is the Oppo R7 which looks nice, octa-core, not too much bigger and very reasonably priced at around £250 sim-free. My only concerns with it are difficulty rooting and it's currently limited to Android 4.4.2.

Well im hitting cpw this weekend to see what my options are being so close to the opt release ill probably hold out till monday.

The other choice im mulling over is the zenfone 2 but it seems to get mixed reviews over the build quality

Right I'm in cpw at the moment having a mull over I do like the z3 but I'm concerned that the lack of 64bit support could be an issue long term. Also with the one plus literally days away with an 810 64 bit chip in should I wait?
