50 quid to remove a bad review?

Cheques in the post lol.
I'd sell my soul for a Mars bar so no problems accepting the cash but I can't believe they'll actually send you £50.
Surely that's just encouraging people to post negative reviews and try and get some cash.

Accept the £50, take down the review... then post a new review saying they paid you £50 to take down a previous bad review.

Business minds like this should not be confined to GD alone :D

That's quite a good idea actually! Brb :D

I'd be careful about putting up another bad review if you cash the cheque. They have your address, so there's a good chance they might poop through your letterbox!

Although...that would certainly make for a fantastic follow up review :D

If they were paying me £50 just to take down a review it wouldn't be a bad review, I'd give it 3/4 stars out of 5 depending how quick the cheque arrived :) .

There's profit to be had here! Brb handing in my notice to work full time from home writing bad reviews in nothing but my briefs and headphones :D

I'd take the money. If it's new management then the review doesn't mean anything anymore. You're not really being dishonest. The company just wanted a clean slate.

I did basically did this.

When shipping my car I could gt a $100 discount if I left a 5* review.
The service was fine but to me 5* you have gon above and beyond the expected so 4* would have been aprorpiate. So Made a 5* review that just said it is a 4* review and i was paid to make it 5*.

Why would you leave a negative review anyway? They sent a surveyor and his survey said no. Why keep trying to get them to do something they don't want to do? They're not obliged to fit anyone and everyone's aerials.

You didnt read the OP's post?

1. The surveyor refused to go in the loft cause fo 2 wasps. Pics had to be supplied so he could do his job.

2. They accepted the job and ""the fitters failed to appear on three occasions and their office did not bother to get back in touch either by phone or email". So OP had 3 appointments where they just didnt show up to do the work.

I would leave an awful; review for any company which did that.

I actually don't think that's unreasonable. Two wasps could mean more and a likelihood of the surveyor getting stung (which OP would be liable for).
