Free Screen Catpure for Training Videos

Hi All,

Question is as title really, what is the best free screen capture application that I can use to produce training videos for work? I used to user FRAPS in the past, but I am unsure if times have changed. I will be using Windows Movie Maker to produce the video as it doesn't need anything special apart from a logo at the start and a watermark. Audio will be recorded using Audacity.

I have done a few Google searches but it appears there are quite a few so looking for opinions and recommendations here.

If you've got a Nvidia card that supports shadowplay you can use that.

It will be recorded on my laptop, well the first attempt will be. It has just the standard Intel HD graphics, nothing fancy. It does have 8gb ram though and I will be recording to an external drive for space.

It's the best free one I've come across. If you want much better, pay for Camtasia

Give it a week, upgrade to Windows 10 and it comes with a free screen/video capture.
I've used CamStudio too I found it very easy and pretty good.

I will try CamStudio.

Our applications may not work with Windows 10 so wouldn't be able to wait.
