Just wondering how ocuk'ers get their music...personally I buy vinyl and cd's, and buy mp3's.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm wasting my money buying it and if I should just stick to using Spotify. What do others think?

I just use Google Music now. Used to buy CDs but you will run out of space and having them instantly all in one place just suits me better.

Spotify Premium now.

Recently checked that every CD I have ever owned is available in there and saved them on my account. Kept the ones that were not, but surprisingly there was not many.

From the radio then from one tape to another, to cut out the talky bits

Original piracy :D

We all did it in the 80's though, you got it down to a fine art to miss the DJ/Host talking :P

But these days I will buy the CD's (mainly from a rain forest place) with the AutoRip or I use Spotify to check out albums I am unsure on.

Go to the indie record store in town and buy CDs. Hurts the wallet, but I like my CD collection. Got a stash of vinyls too, but mainly for the art.

Use Spotify at work.

just my opinion but paying for premium just to not have a advert every few songs is wasting money.

I mostly use Spotify (premium) for convenience use these days - I treat it as such like a streaming service and still buy the tracks I listen to a lot from either iTunes, Amazon or 1-2 other places.

Its not the same thing.

The equivalent would be a library of millions of books with a page of adverts every few pages.

Spotify Premium for the majority of new stuff; but I buy CDs that I particularly like. CD collection accumulated over the years is slowly being ripped to NAS...

Google Music (paid subscription). I've tried some other streaming services offerings (Spotify mainly), but Googles apps and web player work really well for me - plus I can upload my own music via the web app if I want or just use the online catalog to keep in my library.
