Aren't they franchises? I find that the quality of large-chain pizza places differ from store to store - I suppose Subways are the same?

In the grand scheme of thing, you don't actually need that much money to get a McDonald's franchise. About £100k in readies gets you going, the rest is loaned.

You need more experience than other places though.
