As title really.

Thanks to a puncture this morning, I need to order a pair today.

Can get both for the same price (give or take a few pence).

Currently have the Kumhos (matching set of 4, 2 only replaced a couple of months ago) and no complaints so far.

Worth sticking with the Kumhos, or are the Toyos significantly better?

Cheers :)

Both average. T1-R's grip fairly well in the dry due to them being incredibly soft (don't expect much mileage out of them) and they are poor in the wet.

Out of the two I'd just stick with the Kumho's.

Can confirm this, in bad weather the grip disappeared on mine and I got around 9k miles out of the fronts 10 - 12k on the rears.

Never had any issues with the T1Rs in the wet or the dry. Grip isn't quite as good as some of the premium brand tyres but it's far from ditch finder territory.

T1R's are poor in comparison to KU39's in my experience but at the moment as said Rainsport 3's are generally cheaper, worth checking first, as they're brill rain or shine for the kind of money they cost. I paid £62 a corner for 225/45/18 and they cope very, very well with 280+ BHP and in the wet they are pretty grippy and don't at all feel unsafe like cheaper tyres (and T1R's lol)

KU39 are leagues ahead of T1R.

T1R are cack. (I've owned both)

I'll say that KU39 are a false economy though, they wear out far quicker than a decent Michelin/Bridgestone tyre.

What size are these in?

T1R have ok dry grip, but zero feeling as the sidewalls are made of stilton. They flop around when pushed.

They're 215/45/17

I've had the Kumhos put on this morning.

Haven't noticed any problems with wear tbh - the set that was on the rear was on the car when I got it (2 years and ~25k ago) and still had a few mm left in them
