Not sure why yours isn't big enough? I used the exact same stuff from Monsoon with my Primochill Acrylic and it fit perfectly... Did you by chance buy the red bigger kit by mistake?

I noticed this happen to me a lot with the kit too to be honest. I just thought I was doing it wrong! In fact some of my pipes still have a slight flattened look:( I think it was more due to pressing down too hard on the heated section of the acrylic more than the size of the rubber though. I got some nice bends by heating more surface area than I need to and not holding down on the heated sections. Try to bend the tube with your fingers on the hard acrylic and the heated area on the mandrels, but also don't push down too hard. You shouldn't have to force it of your heated enough of the acrylic and are bending at the right points.

I thought I was pressing it too much too but I tried it in some of my Monsoon red tubing and the insert fit in snug with no flattening. The issue with this is OCUK don't sell Monsoon Clear 13/10 And I've already got some Primochill Clear and I don't like the idea of mix/matched tube in case of any differences

The XSPC insert measures 9.8mm btw.

I had to buy a alphacool insert else where as OCUK didn't have anything that would fit.

Well this explains a lot... Still I managed to get some proper bends in there...

How about PrimoChill Bending kit for Acrylic Tubes? OCuk have 10+ in stock and you'd know for sure it works with Primochill tubing! It's 11.99. Bit dearer than what you linked but gets you piece of mind!

Edit: This video explains a lot! https://youtu.be/mHpreTceVpw

They admit the tubing might be bigger or smaller than listed as the don't make the acrylic in-house! Jeez ridiculous! Primochill sugest sanding down the inserts if the tubing is smaller than listed, but what on earth do you do if the inserts are bigger like the issues we're having? Or had in my case... Too late for me:(

I would get one of those kits but it seems a bit pointless as I only need the insert. :(

If OCUK get some clear Primochill tubing in stock again I'll probably just lump it and get the kit as I've got this far so I'll be dammed if I have to go search for an insert that fits ;)

I used the kit with the primochill petg and it was a perfect fit as you expect. Unfortunately with hardline tubing it's a good idea to try get all the parts from the same company.

It looks like I might just lump it then and get the Primochill kit. Well at least the acrylic cleaner might come in handy :D

Search the popular auction site for o ring nitrile cord, cheap as chips and you can pick the size, seen a lot of people use that :)
The issue with those cords are by the time I've got postage paid for it comes to around the same cost as the full Primochill kit :(

Yeah I found that the monsoon insert is pretty loose on other tubing, but I don't think it really makes a difference for the bends. I was using a 9mm o-ring cord and it worked a treat on the primochill tubes.

Cost about the same but it was a meter long which was pretty handy
