Macbook Pro owners both Retina and non - your opinions please! Also Cloud storage questions

I'm trying to decide on 8gb vs 16gb I dont use photo shop or anything but I want this to last a few years, I could go 256/16gb or 512gb/8gb storage wise it seems better to get the bigger ssd and forget the ram upgrade, what do u think?

OSX absolutely looovveees RAM. Get the 16gb RAM. Even if you don't use it now you'll only be ****ed off if you need it as you can't upgrade it. Storage is easily expandable, RAM is not.

You can't upgrade either on rMBP but apparently El capitan is better optimised

Sorry I meant you can get SSD External HDD's, Transcend Jet Drives etc. Storage can be added to in many ways, RAM you're set with.

I would get one with the most GB and biggest HDD (unless you store on external drives which you should backup lol)
I had a top spec MBP with 2.8GHz and 1TB drive but was overkill. My Macmini 2012 with i7 2.6 is more than enough for what I need (PS/Movies) with a Samsung 830 SSD.

2015 rMBPs just flooded refurbished section (must be some large corporate purchase that fell through), i5 2.9 with 16gb of RAM and 512Gb flash is about the same price as 2.7 with 16Gb of RAM and 256GB in Apple's high street store.
