Hi

Just tried adding 8gb of corsair vengeance red to my system in sig

Seems to be unstable and giving 0124 bsods.

Timings are very slightly different but thought it should have worked. Both sets are 2400 and running xmp to that up from 1600mhz

Have I missed something to get this working?? Or is my cpu oc causing issues...little bit lost

Ta

ah ha!

drop RAM to 1600mhz and all is well and stable. must be the little G3258's memory controller topping out.

ah well 4770K soon :D

Was about to say, try running at 1600MHz but you answered your own question before I could reply! My G3258 doesn't seem to like OCing with RAM at 2400MHz

P.S. What settings are you using for you G3258 @4.4GHz. I've got 4.2GHz rock solid stable, but any higher it BSODs.

Send me a trust regarding your MM post, mine won't seem to send. Or they are sending and you'll have a load of messages from me.

I might be interested if you want a matching 16gb :)

Cant 100% remember. Will take a look in the morning for you :)

Got it running at 2400mhz now. Turned the timings link option on and it works perfectly. 5-6 runs in 3dm all giving slightly increased scores, 30 mins gta V and passmark mem test is through the roof :)
