GTX980Ti & Windows 10

And bring the end of mankind or cause people to turn in mutants!!! Omg!

Alternatively turn off auto updates.

Early adoption headache? Let me tell you how many issues I had with about 100 hours worth of use.... ZERO.

This issue, like failed installed updates on every OS can be sorted with a bit of googlefu.

except a) you cant turn off auto updates unless you are on 10 corporate and b) whilst you have the option to disable driver updates, it doesnt flippin' work.

Not to forget that MS has already pushed out 2 broken updates.. I understand why they do it but its hurting the enthusiast the current way its done.

Microsoft really know how to screw up a software release these days.

It should be all about giving users choice and if they want to turn off automatic updates they should be able to do it.

Microsoft do have a fix for this though, it's called Windows 7 lol.

Agree its fine that they ship with the OS with Automatic updates but it should be possible to turn them off and not by disabling an entire service.. gonna be interesting to see how MS choose to deal with this.

Word of caution !
"Windows 10's automatic updates for NVidia drivers could break your computer"
http://betanews.com/2015/07/26/wind...for-nvidia-drivers-could-break-your-computer/

Ace Modder in the Win10 thread has said there is a workaround for this to so you dont get nvidia drivers via windows update.
Not seen where though.
My PC can't update still because I get the "If you've got a 980ti you aint coming in" text above :)
All our 3 laptops have downloaded Win10 though.

my 980tis have only just had the popup saying compatible. Must be a driver coming out today for them in SLI that doesnt have memory leaks

mine says compatible - looking at the report it says "last run on 22/07" and I can't see a way to make it re-run itself, so people who got "incompatible" on the first run, I don't know how to make it update itself
