So I updated to windows 10 and now my Microsoft Money won't run. It wants IE6 to be installed !
It worked ok on 8.1 with IE 11 and it worked on the Win 10 insider builds.

Back to 8.1 then !

I had the same issue! There is a fix which has worked for a load of people, but not for me. Worth a try...
Open this Registry Key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
Left click on Version, select Modify and enter 9.11.10240.0 in the form field

I have since moved to Quicken 2013 after finding a copy. It isn't supported in the UK, but 2013 does work fine and I now prefer it over Money. Nice reports, just as easy to use and is modern.

I am considering buying the 2015 version, but a bit hesitant as I won't be able to use one of the major features that I'd like - syncing with my phone - as the app is not available in the UK PlayStore. Once I've found a way around that, I'll consider buying 2015.

Try installing an older version like the link.
Or use the opportunity to upgrade to something newer and better. rather than carrying on using legacy software.

Easier said unfortunately. I've spent hours scouring the internet for something as good as Money. Tried GnuCash, YNAB (hand holding much?) and many others, none came close to Money IMO, apart from Quicken 2013 which beats it. Such a shame they don't officially support that in the UK anymore.

There are also a few online, like QuickBooks (also Quicken and is available to UK), but that's more for companies and is expensive (monthly payment).

Thanks for the info. I'll try the registry hack tomorrow.
Will quicken import Money files?

It worked for me too. I wonder how long the fix will last. Are Updates to IE11 likely to render it useless again?

I expect that version number will change in an update. I think Explorer still relies on components of Internet Explorer, doesn't it?

Stick this in a text file & save as MoneyFix.reg:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
"Version"="9.11.10240.0"

Then just run it every time Money breaks.
