Estate agents and white socks isn't a myth!

You dont wear trainer socks with a suit FFS.

Come on guys, its not as if he is out raged because the guy didnt stir his tea enough times or was a cockney.

Its white trainer socks, with a suit, in a professional environment, at the very least its a bit shoddy.

This is a ******* outrage!

I've started a petition to get this addressed in parliament as soon as possible!

So you're suggesting white trainer socks with a sit are on trend/will soon be on trend? It's not exactly a compelling argument to excuse poor choices by playing the fashion card... when the trend-setter is a badly dressed estate agent (otherwise known as an estate agent, if we're trying to avoid being tautologous).

how do you think fashion starts? with one person breaking the trend and others following.

Once everyone is doing it then it becomes unfashionable especially if its the poor imitating the rich.

Therefore wearing black silk socks with a suit is unfashionable

Like I said, that's not a compelling argument with regards to this scenario/instance.

Well the guy woke up and faced a choice.

be boring like everyone else and wear cashmere silk black socks or wear white trainer socks with a go faster stripe around the top

Can you imagine the reactions when the first person stopped wearing a tie in a suit! and the guy that stopped wearing a blazer and only a shirt tie and pants! blasphemer !

We are still in the process of trying to sell our house and yesterday we invited round a new estate agent and this young guy turned up, about 23/24, to have a look round. He was very smartly attired - expensive-looking dark grey suit, waistcoat, crisp white shirt and polished black shoes - and seemed to rate himself a bit with some justification I guess, he was tanned and had a David Beckham-esque mop of blond hair.

When he came in he offered to take his shoes off. I wouldn't have said yes but my wife did and this lad eased his smart shoes off to reveal flipping white socks.

It got worse though. When he later sat down to make some notes, you could see that they were white trainer socks! With his flash suit and shoes!!

Am I just too far behind modern fashion?

perhaps he often has to take his shoes off in peoples houses and didn't want to leave black fluff on their floors?

Buy disposable shoe covers, or have black socks which aren't fluffy? I mean, it's not as though white ones can't be fluffy :p.

most peopels carpets are ligght though :p

more likley answer is he woke up that morning got dressed and went "ah **** only my gym socks are clean...ah **** it"
