Surprised this hasn't been posted already - no muslamics to blame I guess.

Like to see the double standards in the media when it comes to reporting terrorism is still biased.

No mention of the word terrorism by Sky news, MSN or the BBC. He was mentally unstable excuses coming out in the comments section lol. Wonder what religion he was......

Wonder how the PREVENT strategy will now be adjusted to force school teachers to monitor this type of threat from 'teenagers' - oh wait, Guess you need to be muslim for it to be classed as terrorism, nothing to see here.

i believe the definition of terrorism is that its a method to get political change, like the IRA or ISIS actions, he seems to have been a bullied school boy wanting revenge like the Columbine kids.

so no its not terrorism, although what worrying is the seeming ease he was able to buy a functioning hand gun, high capacity mags and ammo off the internet.


whats mildly amusing though is slightly mad white boy managed to put together a better arsenal than dedicated Islamic terrorists lol.

the UK the Terrorism Act 2000 defines terrorism as:

"The use or threat of action designed to influence the government or an international governmental organisation or to intimidate the public, or a section of the public; made for the purposes of advancing a political, religious, racial or ideological cause; and it involves or causes:

serious violence against a person;
serious damage to a property;
a threat to a person's life;
a serious risk to the health and safety of the public; or
serious interference with or disruption to an electronic system."

Maybe he was bullied there and had enough so thought he'd do something about it? If he was bullied I can understand him wanting to get back at them however killing lots of innocents in the process is a little harsh.

As one of the "mentals" I condemn this guys actions and urge everyone else with intrusive thoughts, voices, visions or other general irritation not to kill the nice normal folk...have an orange instead it tastes nicer....


if they steal your orange then its ok to kill them though, there is a limit.
 
Arknor has already pointed out that in fact it is classed as terrorism hence why the anti-terrorism police were the first ones to pick him up. Try again folks. The fact he was linked with brevik seems to allude some of you.

Probably wrongly though, the whole point in terrorism is to further a usually political cause. Which is why generally we don't consider random nutjobs like this terrorists. He did it in the name of nothing but himself.

This is why an IRA member was a terrorist and this guy isn't. If you expand the scope of the term suddenly everyone crime of violence is 'terrorism' which makes no real sense.

our definition of terrorism doesn't cover mass murder, the guy had no aims or agenda other than to kill as many people as possible.


Yes his aim was to terrify people but that's no longer the definition of terrorism in the modern world.

Sorry if I mistook where that component of the definition is met but I can't see it. Could you point it out for me?

You cant be a terrorist if you white, you can be a racist if you white.
you can be a terrorist if your Muslim you can't be racist if your a Muslim.

i think its well balanced.
 
He planned mass murder similar to Breivik, not sure it's Terrorism. Terrorism generally has a goal and is done to advance that by using violence and the threat of violence, this guy looks like a nutter who got bullied at college/school so was plotting to take revenge.
