Estate agents and white socks isn't a myth!

...which is the whole point of the original post!

How can anyone wear white socks with black leather shoes and hope to still have pristine white socks at the end of the day? What if he had a 5pm appointment?

stop polishing the inside of your shoes....

Let me come over Miss Marple (!) for a second.

Item 1 - Young lad.
Item 2 - Waistcoat.
Item 3 - Estate Agent.
Item 4 - White socks.

I deduce that we have a cretin who bought a crap suit from Burtons (FREE WAISTCOAT!!!) and who has so few practical life skills as to be good for nothing other than being the lowest of the low: an Estate Agent.

The white socks should have come as no surprise.

I got to ask the question, how in the hell do you suggest the White socks would get dirty through normal daily use - other than the part of them inside the shoe in contact with the sole?!

I've worn white socks on many an occasion, in fairness mainly at the weekend with trainers and when I take them off at night the only part of them visibly dirty is the sole.

I'm baffled.

I'd be more interested in what rate he was gonna stitch me with, whether he was realistic in his valuation and whether they had plenty of clients selling and looking tbh. As long as he could do the job he could have bright pink socks for all I care.

Thin little white trainer socks inside shoes with darker coloured inners - are you joking?

Every time his feet sweated even slightly, there'd be dirty marks on the toes and heels, let alone the soles. Very professional-looking next time he takes his shoes off at someone's house.

As I know everyone will remain fascinated by the subject ... the estate agent in question was at our house again yesterday for the fourth time in total. White socks and black shoes again!! That's every single time he's been wearing the same combination.

So, no excuses about all his black socks being in the wash - he obviously feels that a smart suit and shoes merit the wearing of white socks. Amazing.
