Newcastle mass murder plot - no terrorism ere mate

Quoted again to point out it doesn't need to be politically motivated.

the UK the Terrorism Act 2000 defines terrorism as:

"The use or threat of action designed to influence the government or an international governmental organisation or to intimidate the public, or a section of the public; made for the purposes of advancing a political, religious, racial or ideological cause; and it involves or causes:

serious violence against a person;
serious damage to a property;
a threat to a person's life;
a serious risk to the health and safety of the public; or
serious interference with or disruption to an electronic system."

I expected nothing less from the regulars here lol

Only the mirror referred to him as a terrorist:

Liam Lyburd: Teen terrorist compared himself to Anders Breivik and 'plotted to kill commuters'

I think the term is spree or rampage killer. Terrorism as said already, has to do with a larger scale movement usually with political goals. Terrorism, apparently, doesn't seek solely to physically hurt or maim people, rather to make a statement for their cause through extreme violence and suffering. Terrorists send their message by invoking terror into people over a prolonged period to attempt to cripple people through fear and halt their way of life. Rampage killers, generally speaking, want a quick shot of revenge.

This teenager had a cause of sorts I am sure.

Posted again because I've got no answer. Where is this component met;

"The use or threat of action designed to influence the government or an international governmental organisation or to intimidate the public, or a section of the public; made for the purposes of advancing a political, religious, racial or ideological cause; and it involves or causes:"

Oh that's it nowhere so it doesn't meet the definition.

Oi zoomee, learn to read. It's not about the means it's about the reason. Read your own frigging quote!

You cant be a terrorist if you white

What absolute nonsense. Nobody would disagree that the IRA were not only terrorists but probably the greatest terrorist threat our country has ever faced. Last time I checked, they were white.

Where does all this rubbish come from? Most of the opinions you see on the internet these days are just regurgitated hyperbole and rubbish based on bizarre assumptions. Doesn't anyone bother to at least attempt to find out about something before spouting off these days?

Where does all this rubbish come from?

It comes from Islamic apologists. Who also forget that muslims can be white too.

Clearly says in bold that it's to advance a political, religious, racial or ideological cause. Pesky semi-colons ruining your point.

Where does all this rubbish come from?

But they were 'unprivileged religiously-fueled belligerents', not terrorists ;)

OP has zero grasp of the definition of a terrorist. You certainly don't have to be a Muslim to be one. Come visit northern ireland, we got plenty and next to none are Muslim.

The kid is a sandwich or two short of a picnic and though he may have that in common with most terrorists, it in itself doesn't make him one.

daily mail comments section perhaps

More fail by zoomee.

As has been written, not terrorism hence him not being charged with it.
Troll harder next time, you little fanatic you!

So much this.
So which group is this guy associated with?
With the use if fear what is he trying to change to benefit which group?

Oh look it was a mass murder plot, not terrorism.

lol arguing symantics now.

Ideological - The body of ideas reflecting the social needs and aspirations of an individual, a group, a class, or a culture.

He got kicked out of college and was a general public failure - he felt so strongly about this 'social need' he wanted to commit a mass murder targeting the general public indiscriminately because of this 'ideology' but hey - it's not terrorism unless there's a political motive according to you guys.

As far as I'm concerned 'terrorism' is targeting the general mass public with harm because of anything (it can all be argued to fall into any of the four categories).

Mass school shootings obviously don't fall into the category of terrorism for most of you

so theft is terrorism?

killing your wife because he cheated o you is terrorism?

getting in a pub brawl is terrorism?

all murder is terrorism?

lol zoomee this is one of the biggest fail threads I have seen on here for some time. The guy has serious mental issues triggered by the rejection of the college. He is a piece of crap that intended to kill a bunch of innocent people but he is not in any way a terrorist. Do you class, say, gangsters as terrorists when they kill rivals?

Now stop your troll threads and start taking your medicine again.

edit: I should add that you genuinely worry me with your various threads on these forums. Still doesn't make you a terrorist though.
