Looks like 4 people have lost their lives in a crash in Blackbushe.

Reports say aicraft was HZ-IBN, a privately owned Embraer Phenom 300 based in Riyahd.

Conflicting news if it crashed on landing or take off, but the large fire points to a large fuel load, so perhaps take off? Seems to have ended up in a car auction, no reports of deaths on the ground.

Very sad news indeed.

I read that, but at the same time I've also read eyewitnesses saying it had been at BBS for a few days and was on it's way out?

When I was younger I remember my family driving past while going to the car auction. The main road runs past a small runway, I clearly remember a learjet type of plane coming towards us and crashing into the trees at the end. I did find a news article on it but can't find it now. Hadn't it been for the trees it would have directly hit us.

This is a terrible thing and RIP to those on board but this made me laugh a lot:

"Andrew Thomas, who was paying for a car at the time, told local media he saw the aircraft "nosedive" into the cars and explode."

Can you imagine just winning a car auction and then seeing a plane crash into it in a fiery explosion.

What's so funny about that?

Hate to say it, but I'm a bit suspicious that it's a Saudi registered jet. Also the way it was described as a "nose-dive".

Unbelievable, only took until post 10.

You do realise the majority of plane crashes are a 'nose dive'.

It tends to be what happens when they stop flying

It landed at BCA. I worked at BCA (IT Department in Farnham) a few months ago, apparently everyone there is shocked. It was very close to all of the staff and customers too.

I'm sure anyone who has the money to own a ~$10,000,000 jet (yes it was privately registered) is unlikely to be a terrorist. And the choice of target would be equally bizzare, I'm not sure blowing up a '04 Astra diesel will get you your 72 virgins, unless the big man up there is being very generous.

I'm assuming that Saudi princes don't fly their own jets.
