now I don't follow phones at all, but my nexus 4 is on its last legs now (battery wise)

requirements
£350 max for sim only
decent Battery life
Android
a manufacturer who updates very fast after android release

I use a lot of google services, like google music/inbox etc so I don't need storage space really.

I just swapped my n4 out that was suffering with a failed touch screen. I replaced it with a one plus one got the phone a cover screen protector and the one plus battery pack for 263 incl delivery.

Really happy so far but only got delivered friday. Can't comment on updates but I booted rooted and stuck the latest cm nightly on in around 20 min

enlighten me !!!

Lenovo hardly updates their phones to the latest version of Android.

OP2 sounds like a good bet but it's going to be hard getting one with the invite system.

If you can wait for a few more months the new Nexus 5 should be out and hopefully be around a good price (current rumours point to the higher end 5.7" Nexus to be the premium version while the 5.2" to be more money oriented).

Alternatively, there's the Moto X Play which should be within budget. It has a massive battery and should have a brilliant on screen time.

Rather go new tbh

So people saying op2,

What about a nexus 5? Is upgrade worth it,?

Depends do you use or plan on using nfc? also that 810 chip has been know to be a bit warm, both valid reasons to get the cheaper one plus one and wait till a phone comes out fully specced that doesnt melt your hand like acid

At that price point I think I'd wait for the Moto X Play.

Near stock android with quick updates and presumably mega battery life. Should have a good camera too.

Moto X play is out next month.
You can get an LG G4 for around £330 from Ebay.
Or a new gen Motorola Moto G for £200.
