Do you think this is right?
Do you think this is right?
EU sources said British public bodies did not take part in the scheme, meaning there was a low uptake among the unemployed in this country.
Some 1,178 unemployed young people from the Continent have been found jobs, training or apprenticeships in Britain under the “jobs mobility” programme since it was set up in 2012.
Different subject as this is about the EU supporting migration to the UK.
We know the other leave it at that.
But if the EU is suppose to be a community and all for one, one for all etc.
Why is this happening? I thought solidarity and union was what the EU was about?
Not pass the buck onto us!

would be good if some of the UK unemployed looked for opportunities in Europe too, nothing stopping them really other than a sense of entitlement that someone needs to 'give' them a job or the govt owes them a living
Doesn't sound like they are a jobless burden to me, OP?
I did not say anything about a burden, that equates to one person a day for 3 years.
We are going to have a EU referendum soon and to be honest I need to know where I stand.
The way things look I want out ASAP, because they seem to be at the balls with us for some reason.![]()

Why are you not reading things again????
Its our own fault! UK unemployed WOULD be able to get jobs as its a scheme paid for out of the EU fund!
Nope, you chose to post a thread and you should defend your points. If you equate that with arguing then that's your failing.
If you want an echo chamber then just post comments on any number of the right-wing press websites and fish for upvotes.
A scheme that provides a framework for companies to promote vacancies across the entire EU and provides funding to assist with relocation and language skills needs 'sorting'?
