I recently discovered that my Wins 10 sees that I have 8GB of memory installed, where else I have actually 16GB ( 2x8 )

When into bios, that too only sees 8GB which is strange. Tried using the other two spare slots with no joy! Tried changing the timings too without success :(

I currently have a 2500K on the Gigabyte Z77 - D3H Rev 1.0 MB with two 2x4 GB Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance LP Memory strips

Any ideas?

It should tell you in your BIOS which sticks are being recognised.

You can also try booting with only one stick installed at a time to determine if any aren't working.

Also what you said is a bit confusing, you say you have 2x8GB sticks, two spare slots on a motherboard with four slots, and also two sets of 2x4GB or in other words 4x4GB sticks, all of these things can't be true at the same time.

Sorry for the confusion

I have two sticks of 8GB which are embedded 2x4GB, both slots ( DDR 1 & 2 ) on my MB with 2 slots ( DDR 3 & 4 ) to spare. Both are recognised in the BIOS but when using one stick, it only recognise as 4GB:confused:
