My mum is moving and I've been clearing out her loft. I found a bunch of old things that may or may not be valuable. She has a local auctioneer coming over today about some furniture and I'm going to show the auctioneer these items. The most interesting one is a copy in decent condition of the Evening Standard 1966. Do you think this might be worth something?

It'll be worth something to someone.

Just need to find a buyer who wants it - I have no interest in football, so wouldn't give a £1 for it :p

West Ham won the world cup, fact.

Definitely worth something to someone. The tough job is figuring out who? Maybe email the evening standard/west ham/the fa and see what they have to say? It's certainly an item of interest.

Does anyone remember those ancient Mustek scanners back from the 1990s? They were bulky buggers :D I found one of those in the loft of the house that I moved into a few years back. Also, a rocking chair, maaaaaaasive vintage doll and a load of greetings card that all had the name Emma written on them. So I guess my previous house owner was someone called Emma :p

I had this issue with my 290 and had to use RadeonPro to keep the core clocks at max as it would cause black screens, flickering and crashes - the core clocks fluctuating was the cause in my case. Needless to say it was a total pain in the ass but it did work.

Ended up back with the green team after that

Ah yes, my graphics card has a habit of turning into a newspaper too.

Auctioneer took it away to get some experts eyes on it. He said value is dependent on how rare it is, or if they printed extra copies at the time like they would today for a big event.

I'm gonna say about £50. I've seen covers of World Cup newspapers go for about £10-£20, so I'd say the full issue would be £40-£50.

That would be quite nice tbh. £50 would net about £40 after their auction fees.
As bignev72 said, not as much as I was thinking, but still better than a poke in the eye. :p
