It looks like the mobo does not support i5 4690K Devil Canyon.
Tried three different DDR3-1600 and three PSUs.
Cleared CMOK,
The same result - NO POST.
Code 00 (CPU initialization error).
Fans work.
Did somebody try this mobo with Devil Canyon?
Any advices?
Thank everybody.
Leon.

Have you connected the 8 Pin EPS to the motherboard from the PSU? There is no reason why the board shouldn't work :)

Yes.
I built about ten PCs.
Manual says that the mobo supports i5 4690K, but I now think - they mean Haswell.
Maybe Devil Canyon is something different?

Nope, both are 1150 and will work just fine :)

What about:

Single DDR3 Stick
On board graphics
Build outside the case - could be shorting somewhere

Does the bios version you are running support Devils Canyon? If not I believe you need to put a non-DC cpu in and update the bios.

Manual says that the mobo supports i5 4690kwith the first BIOS..
Nothing said about Haswell or Devil Canyon,

the 4690k is a Devils Canyon chip which in itself is a moniker for the unlocked 4790k and 4690k chip which are part of the Haswell family.

Aside from that, I have the same motherboard and 4690k in my HTPC build and it worked perfectly fine straight out the box, so can confirm its not a incompatibility between the two.

I believe that board has USB flashback so that means you can flash the bios even if there's no cpu in the board. Z97 launched with Devils Canyon so it should work fine out of the box. Looking at the cpu support list the 4690k is supported from bios 0217 which was the version they launched with.

Have you checked the pins for damage?
