TD W9980 doesn't connect sky fibre anymore

I got this router working yesterday and after having the tp link replaced ( factory fault ) I cannot get the same model of router working

It has the corrected updated MER firmware and it is in VLAN 101 dynamic up with correct username and pass it's just keeps saying connecting and it doesn't connect. What has went wrong? I think I missed a step

I'll check mine later and advise if you've missed anything

edit - very weirdly, I reset my network this afternoon and my whole network is grind to a halt going extremely slow for some reason.

It was very strange, I got it to work by pressing RESET (not rebooting it but resetting it) and it instantly connected. Wish I tried it before hand!
