Easy question.

What Anti-Virus software are people using today? I'm still using AVG, but the pop ups get a bit annoying sometimes, never had any viruses or issues with it though.

Just wondered what people thought?

Avast mainly, in 'gaming' mode.

I've been using the Defender/MSE stuff built in to Windows 10 recently which does a good enough job, but a while back even Microsoft themselves recommended a third party antivirus solution.

Eset is good if you feel better about buying an antivirus.

Windows Defender and malwareybytes free version. Chrome with adblock and noscript and some common sense and you shouldnt have any issues. Hopefully.

Is Malware bytes (free version) doing constant surveilance now? Or do people just have it to scan every week?

I think it might depend on which OS you have...

I have Win7 64 Home and I just manually run weekly scans.
A friend has Win7 Pro, which was given through his work's volume licence and is forever cursing in-game because MWB keeps auto-opening and updating/scanning/doing stuff.

His MWB install came from the exact same setup file as mine (because I copied it over), so I assume it's the OS that does it.

I just uninstalled Avast and planned on just using Windows 10 defender, anyone know how to block a program using the internet with it?

Edit* Never mind figured it out
