Hi guys, looking for opinions as to whether or not to go from a pair of 780s to a single 980 Ti or Fury X?

Rest of system:
2x E5-2687W
8x8gb Ripjaws DDR3-1600
Bunch of SSDs + HDD
AOC 4K monitor (no gsync/freesync)

That question could go on forever, and your have no definitive answer. Both have swings and roundabouts, Ild say the 980ti just edges it overall If your coming from a 780 then Im not sure if you would need to update drivers and you can just swap it over. With AMD your have to clean out your system of nvidia before installing cataylist recommended. and with the furyx find a space for a radiator.

Well, I was also wondering whether it makes sense to move at all as much as whether it's Fury or GeForce.

For 4k, 2 x 980Ti! Sorry bud. Let's be honest, driving 4k is prohibitively expensive if you want max details.
