Pentium G3258 Spec Up

Cheers for everyones help, I would've probably ordered a lot of crap without you!.

I have taken everything into consideration and come up with what I think is a great build, I have to write the list out as its from another retailer (hope that's ok):

Gigabytes GA - Z97P-D3 MATX

Intel G3258 20th Anniversary

Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Ram - 8GB DDR3 1600MHz

Samsung 850 EVO - 120GB SSD

450W Antec PSU - 80+ Bronze

Fractal Design Core 1000 Case (will upgrade later)

TOTAL - £287 Inc postage

Whatya think?

Chippy, that's great, thanks. I have a 7 disc so will install that and probably upgrade to 10 in the future :).

My build now looks like this:

Gigabytes GA - Z97P-D3 ATX

Intel G3258 20th Anniversary

Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Ram - 8GB DDR3 1600MHz

Samsung 850 EVO - 120GB SSD

450W Antec PSU - 80+ Bronze

Coolermaster NP 400 ATX case (will upgrade later)

TOTAL - £287.45 Inc postage.

Do you think this is the winning build?

Cheers Again Guys

If you want a cheaper mobo u can go with a msi h81m-p33 its about £34 and can overclock the g3258 easily doing it right now at 4ghz on stock volts.

Cheers Passey.

I've decided to spend that but extra on the MOBO simply for futyre upgrades, I will certainly be upgrading to an I5/I7 1150 CPU in the future and it saves me buying a new MOBO later down the line :).

That's a great result!. Can I ask what the general/gaming performance is like?. Not many reviews of general use

Cheers

You can still put an i5 or i7 in the h81 only thing you wont get is pci-e 3.0

Z97 in general is a better chipset with more features on the board and BIOS. It will also be slightly better for overclocking as the 3 phase power phase on MSI will start to struggle.

The z97p-d3 is by no means a top-end board but still not bad for the money.

Cheers for all the responses!.

Ok, here it is, mini ATX build, hopefully final! ;).

Intel G3258 20th Anniversary

Gigabyte GA-Z97M- DS3H (micro ATX)

Corsair Vengeance Low Profile - 8GB DDR3 1600MHz

Samsung 850 EVO - 120GB SSD

450 WATT Antec PSU- 80+ Bronze

Thermaltake Core V21 Cube (MATX)

Comments? :)

Looks good and if u want to game in the future chuck a gtx 960 into it and it will play virtually every game reasonably well.

That definitely looks like the final spec :)

Don't forget a cooler in future when you upgrade to i5/i7 ;)

Also were there no 500w PSUs?

As before thanks to everyone who's replied, it's been a GREAT help :).

Well me being me I made a SLIGHT change, I'm ordering everythig from the same site and sadly the DS3H went out of stock earlier so did a little swap over, this IS the final build and will be ordered tonight unless the MOBO isn't as good as the DS3H.

Corsair Vengeance - 8GB DDR3-1600MHz RAM

Samsung 850 EVO - 120GB SSD
