Today at Gamescom, Corsair raises the bar higher with new RGB gaming peripherals: the STRAFE RGB mechanical keyboards, Scimitar RGB MMO/MOBA mouse, and flagship VOID gaming headsets. Corsair is also unveiling the ultra-quiet STRAFE RGB Silent, the world’s first keyboard with Cherry MX RGB Silent gaming switches.

To complement the launch of these new products, an enhanced version of the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software is available, enabling cascading rainbows, dynamic ripples, and other multicolor lighting effects to operate in tandem across all Corsair RGB keyboards, mice, and headsets.

STRAFE RGB Silent and STRAFE RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboards

Today Corsair unleashes two new mechanical gaming keyboard models with RGB lighting: STRAFE RGB and STRAFE RGB Silent. The STRAFE RGB Silent gaming keyboard is the world’s first with Cherry MX Silent switches which deliver the speed and precision of linear mechanical switches with significantly quieter actuation. The new switches combined with the noise-suppressing architecture of the keyboard chassis, make the pro-level STRAFE RGB Silent 30% quieter than other mechanical gaming keyboards. The STRAFE RGB keyboard comes in versions with Cherry MX Red or Brown switches.

The STRAFE RGB Silent and STRAFE RGB offer customizable multicolor backlighting of up to 16.8 million colors with a virtually unlimited number of lighting configurations and effects. In addition, each key on the new keyboard can also be programmed with automated macros using CUE (Corsair Utility Engine) software. Via CUE, gamers can choose from six unique lighting effects or create their own custom profiles and share them on www.corsairgaming.com.

Interested in a quiet mech keyboard, the only thing I don't like about mine is the noise... also wanted a nice keyboard for work which wouldn't annoy the whole office.

I think that headset looks awesome, however I cannot imagine it staying in one piece for very long... That, and I never see myself wearing my headset anyway!

Hmmm I look the look of all three (especially the silent mech keyboard.....)

Do we have any ideas on cost?

Prices in the spoiler tags in USD. Add VAT and convert to GBP for our price. Corsair have 6 months exclusivity for the new Cherry Silent keys.

Not bad, looks like almost £300 for all three

Shame you can't get the Carbon edition in the wired headset or so it seem's from the spoiler tags

EDIT - Might of made a mistake but I get the following

Silent keyboard - £121.94
Mouse - £61.47
headset (wired) - £76.84

Total for all 3 - £260.25

Pricing seem's a little strange

Did as you said by the way (Price displayed + 20% VAT then converated to £)

I'll wait for OCUK to confirm prices - seem's starnge to get odd pence at the end?

Well, it's obviously not going to translate directly to £x.99 - However the method listed should give you a general idea of what they should cost.

Slightly off topic: Have any of you tried the Strafe keyboard? I'm interested in them.

I do miss my Cherry Blue keys though.

Hope they'll be bringing the silent keys to the other keyboard in their lineup. Corsair have a 6month exclusive on the MX Red silent switches I think.

I too would be interested in replacing my original K70 with one that had silent cherries and RGB lighting. I game in the back of our living room while the missus watches TV, she'd appreciate it! Any word Greybeard?

thanks twirly for posting that vid was watching the main topics vids thinking is this guy actually gonna tap the keyboard or not :)

tbh while its some difference in noise its still too loud for myself I use a silent keyboard from hong kong and its a 15 quid one and much less noise then those silent switches.

Think ill need a rubber keyboard to be 100% silent !

I'm still trying to find a video where someone is typing on the keyboard, that German video was all I could find.

Here's Cherry's promo video but it doesn't show how it sounds.

Probably since not much difference ;)

Its so hard to find silent mice and silent keyboards, tapping away at 3am don't help the rest of the family !
