Sugar junkie.

How much sugar were you having a day

I found it easier to cut down over a week, i.e used to have 2 sugars in my tea, went to one then after 5 days went to 0.

Now if I get tea with sugar in it tastes way too sweet for me.

Truth.

Cinnamon helps regulate blood glucose.

I can also personally recommend RAW CARROTS! The carotenoids in them make for wonderful blood glucose regulation.

(go for organic carrots, as they are one of the worse root veg for holding onto pesticides etc.)

Do you believe organic means pesticide-free?

Here's the news - it doesn't. And some of them are really bad for you.

Stevia is a good replacement, it isn't 100% the same, but really close... If you want to make your own Soda get a Sodastream & Sweet-drops to flavor it... Or of you can find Zevia, it is Stevia Soda... Oh & on the Sweetleaf site, look at the products, some are worth a buy...

I decided to drink only water, to be a little healthier.
About a week in, haven't noticed any cravings or anything.
I don't think I'm addicted to anything :)

Interesting. After sounding a bit holier-than-thou I must admit I do have golden syrup on my porridge in the mornings. Maybe I should try cinnamon.

I think celery is good if you fancy something sweet?

Me too, I have honey on my porridge, a very small amount. I think I should try cinnamon, I love cinnamon :D

Just don't bother and acctually count your calories if you want to lose weight?

Or you know, cut out stuff from your diet add other stuff and randomly guess.

OP, have you tried actually substituting heroine for the sugar? :)

I had a similar thing years ago. Decided I was drinking way too much Coke/Pepsi so decided to cut it out completely. The thought of being addicted to it never crossed my mind at the time, so I wondered why I suddenly started behaving extremely irritably and had thumping headaches all day :o

To make a point of the amount of sugar I would eat. It would normally be added to my cereal on shredded wheat, during the day I'd drink 1ltr or there abouts of fizzy drink or On and at lunch and dinner and throughout the day I would snack on small chocolate bars, twix style or kitkat etc, in the evening quite often I'd have cider, if I saw donuts I'd buy them. Pretty much whatever I wanted when I wanted.
Not fat as I gym a lot but trying to rid stomach fat, so went cold turkey.

I gave up a small smoking habit very easily, but this is a 25 year sugar habit.

I have always had a very sweet tooth. I never add sugar to anything but anything sweet, I can just keep eating and eating it! My girlfriend is the opposite, a few bites into a cake and she has had enough.

Sometimes I get to the point where after a normal meal I feel I have to have something sweet. I normally go through that phase for a while, put weight on, then come to my senses, stop, go hard in gym, lose weight, then after a while the sweet tooth comes back!

Just start exercising, atleast twice a week, and have a cheat day every weekend for one day..but train during the week, and either eat substitutions like just chicken fillets/tuna..simple stuff, learn to beat the craving by training ;p

It depends how badly you want something..if you dont care about physical appearance that much, it doesnt matter in the end :P

I have a bit of a sweet tooth but my main problem? is that I drink about 10 cups of tea per day all with 2 sugars.
I get fed up and switch to Honey for a while then forget to buy it then revert back to using sugar again.

FYI - proper honey is really expensive and also a bit of a pain if you spill a bit as it ends up a sticky mess.
