Honestly, I jumped on a Titan X. If my card wasn't DOA and the RMA wasn't a joke I'd have still had one. Instead I got two 980Ti's for a little bit extra. Both of which I would have forgone for two Fury X's if they launched sooner.
It was all timing for me and when I was getting my system up and running. My previous cards were AMD ones and I'd have use them again.
I think NV's rise is both because of their current strong line up, and because AMD's Fiji launch was a mess. The cards themselves are great, but there are manufacturing issues with those darn pumps, and lack of supply.![]()

VRAM quantity is only important insofar as it improves performance. The 980Ti's 6GB is already plenty.But have half the VRAM.
