Looking for help finding a suitable GPU for my daughters old shuttle...

It's a SG33G5 S775 and has only been used to stream videos etc but now she would like a graphics card to play some modern games.

What GPU would fit?
Would I have to source an old GPU?

Any advice would be great. :D

They made some single slot 7850s (afox) good luck finding one though. A lot if shuttle users modded their cases bk in the day to fit double slot gfx cards.

How powerful would you like the card to be? What games will she likely be playing?

Edit: Joined 5 years ago makes his first posts today :D

There was a single slot GTX750 which was not cheap but more importantly what games are being run and what Core2 CPU and RAM quantity is in the machine?

You might find the CPU is a limitation.

Also, the PSU in the machine is probably one of the original 250W units from a decade ago too,so it will be more biased towards the 3.3V and 5.0V rails too.

Better off buying a new case.

That's a bit pricey with Suttles, many people are happy without high end gfx, they just want to play games reasonably well. All my Suttles just had my old bits put in for backup and mobile systems. His daughters system still has life in it yet depending on what she wants to play on it.
