Motherboard in the 60Degree range in games

So I finished building a new computer today and the motherboard temperature is just stupidly high. In Warcraft it's 67degrees....idle 53-57.
The case has 2 fans at the moment. I'm ordering 2 more for the top to see if that might help but regardless that's still extremely hot.
I'm using an MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition with an EVGA Supernova 750W Modular PSU and FX 8350 (57degrees in game....35-41degrees idle) using a Coolmaster Hyper Evo.

The CPU Cooling fan is faced toward the back of the case instead of the front because the ram I have is too tall for it to fit so I don't know if that might be part of the cause or what.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to reduce this heat?

Are you 100% sure it is the motherboard temp your reading, and not another sensor for the CPU? I am away from my desktop atm, but on HW monitor I was noticing a temp of about 47-56 during gaming and I too thought it was the mobo. When I googled the sensor ID it turns out it was a sensor for the CPU socket.

Having the CPU fan blowing out the back is how you want it. In your case, you might need to set the fan up so it's pulling the air through the cooler. What RAM is it you're using?

What temperature monitor are you using? I get random temps sometimes. I use HWinfo64, which I find more reliable than HWmonitor, but it stills throws out amusing readings. Apparently my i5 was running below 0C on air cooling at the weekend whilst the mobo VRMs were at 146C...

I'm using Speccy but when I looked at the BIOS, the temps were opposite. 60Degrees on the CPU and 36 on the Mobo

Today i have Warcraft open now and the CPU says 47 and the mobo 57 in Speccy. I have the front case open until I get more fans installed.

Sounds like it is getting the sensors mixed up, try something else as suggested. HWMonitor is what I use but there are others that are just as good.

CPU will always run hot in the BIOS because its not entering idle state/low volts

It runs at full CPU speed and voltage, tbh 60c MB temps isn't that bad tbf

What are your room ambient temps like? Poor case airflow might be the cause

Well my CPU temperature is fine now but the motherboard is still quite warm 60Degrees. Granted I have to attach 2 more fans in when my controller arrives.

My room temp is normal...I would say.....10degrees maybe?

As I said in a previous post it's very normal for VRMs on a motherboard to sit at 60c while gaming/etc. Mine sit at 60c.

What ever application you are using to monitor temps is probably reporting the sensor wrong, mislabeling it or something to that effect. i would bet money on this being a VRM sensor.

Room temperature 10c? Where do you live!? And how is 10c considered normal room temperature!

Room temp is Ambient.

I first used Speccy now I'm trying CPUID

Does anything look off? Is the +12V supposed to be over 12v?

I'm gonna have to call customer service and see if I can get a replacement or see what they say. Never had a mobo over 50 degrees before so this is freaking me out

Its a lowly 4 phase power arrangement on that board and they are prob being worked quite hard by the silly hungry 8 core FX.

On all FX rigs I have run I always ran a fan near the vrms.

If it was me I would look for a board with a bit better power delivery, the krait boards tend to be low end stuff in snazzy black and white clothes.

oh is that what it is? What would you suggest as a replacement? I'll just get a refund and get something else then...

Would the MSI 970 GAMING be sufficient?
